Michael & Amanda Engaged!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am so excited I could bust right now! It seems to me that things in my life just keep getting better and better and I have two wonderful announcements to share with all of you- First, those of you who have been following my blog know that I have Crohn’s disease, an intestinal disease that pretty much runs your life. I went to see my specialist a few weeks ago who told me that I need to see my surgeon about the removal of an abdominal hernia that I have due to the 22 previous surgeries that I have had. My heart sank. The last thing I want is another surgery! The good news is, after seeing my surgeon this last week, he told me NO surgery for right now!!! As long as it’s not giving me any trouble, then there’s need to do surgery at this time! Woo Hoo!!!

Now that is fabulous news all in itself, but I got even better news. My son and his girlfriend have decided that they’re going to get married next year! That was just the greatest news! Michael & Amanda have been dating for three years and as a daughter-in-law, I could not have asked for a better one. She is a beautiful young woman who absolutely adores my son and when he recently had a seizure at work, she never left his side the whole time he was in the hospital.  As a mother, especially a mother with health issues of her own, those kinds of things are what you want for your son’s wife. You want for someone to be there for your kids who will love them, take care of them and share a life with them. Amanda does all of those things for my son and much more. I couldn’t have picked a better life partner for him if I did it myself!

So, with my daughter's new baby coming in December and a wedding next September, I’m going to be a very busy Mom & Nana. And you know what? I couldn’t be happier for both of my children as they start these new chapters in their lives. I want to share some pictures of the happy couple and a project I designed for them. I hope you like them.

For Michael & Amanda, I am so happy for the both of you! You two were made for one another and I’m so glad that you found your way to each other. I wish you both a long and happy marriage together with lots of love, babies, and good times. Remember to  be kind to each other,  always put each other first and love each other with all of your heart! Congratulations!!!

Thanks for joining me. Until next time…
